The grandson of Giani Zail Singh, Inderjeet Singh, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of Union Minister Hardeep Puri.
Inderjeet Singh had campaigned for the BJP during the Madana Lal Khurana days in Delhi. His grandfather Giani Zail Singh served as the seventh President of India from 1982-87.
Upon joining, Inderjeet Singh said, ‘he has fulfilled his grandfather’s wishes.’
He hails from the Ramgarhia Sikh Community, an OBC community, that has its presence in the Doaba and Maja belts of Punjab.
